Every summer, BridgePoint partners with A House on Beekman for its annual Summer Camp in South Bronx, New York.
A House on Beekman aims to create a seamless series of programs from birth to career that empowers the next generation of South Bronx to reach their full potential.

Trip Details

Location: South Bronx, NY
Dates: Sun. July 24 - Sat. July 30th
Cost: $1,000 (includes flights, transportation, lodging, breakfast and lunch. Team members will be responsible for their own dinner each night in the city.)
What we will be doing: Some of our team's roles will include: Reading Instructors, Passion Class Instructors, Classroom Monitors, Group Chaperons/Leaders, and Bible Instructors. There will be something for everyone!
Age Requirement: Team members younger than 16 years old must travel with a parent or guardian on this trip.
Lodging: Nearby Airbnb or local hotel. This depends on the confirmed team size.
Travel itinerary: Sunday July 24th-July 30th. We would fly out of Tampa and into New York (LaGuardia Airport). Flights will be purchased by the missions team at BridgePoint Church to ensure all team members will arrive in New York at the same time. (However, if you have sky miles or points you would like to use, we can coordinate arrival times so you could purchase your flight on your own.) When the team arrives on Sunday, we will attend a meeting with other volunteers for the week at A House on Beekman's offices. From then on, we will serve Monday-Friday from about 8:30am-4:00pm at the summer camp. The rest of the evening, the team is able to go out together and explore the city and eat dinner. We will finish with camp on Friday and fly back home on Saturday.
