KidsPoint Devotional: (June Week 3)
BLOOM (Birth-Kindergarten)
This month in Bloom, we are talking about how God shows us how to love others! Our memory verse for the month of April is “think and act like Jesus did.” Philippians 2:5, NIrV
This past Sunday (June 15th), we talked about showing other people the love of God by helping them. We read about Jesus feeding the 5000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. We talked about how even though the boy only had a little, because he used what he had to help others, God multiplied it and was able to bless MANY.
We encourage you to read John 6:5-13 with your kids and discuss the following questions.
We encourage you to pray with your child after devotion.
UPSTREET (1st-5th Grade)
This month in UpStreet, we are talking about living like Jesus. Our memory verse for this month is “As you deal with one another, you should think and act as Jesus did." Philippians 2:5, NIrV
This past Sunday (June 15th), we read about Jesus healing a man on the Sabbath. We discussed what it means to really SEE people and what it means to look out for others. We talked about the importance of the Sabbath and how important it is to take a rest from OUR work and take time to partner with God in HIS work.
We encourage you to read Luke 6:6-11 with your kids and discuss the following questions.
We encourage you to pray with your child after devotion.

- How are you a good helper?
- How was the little boy in the story a good helper?
- The little boy did not have a lot of food but he still wanted to use it to help others. What are some small ways we can help that will bless MANY people?
We encourage you to pray with your child after devotion.

- What does it mean to look beyond someone’s physical appearance and really SEE them?
- Why do you think Jesus decided to heal this man in front of the religious leaders AND on the Sabbath? What was He trying to teach the religious leaders?
- What practices can we put in place to step outside of ourselves so that we can have eyes like Jesus and really SEE people?
We encourage you to pray with your child after devotion.

A note from the KidsPoint team.
Hello Parents!
We are so excited for all that God has in store for us this year, not only in KidsPoint but as a whole at BridgePoint. We believe that our kids are vital to the mission of our church, as well as the future of our communities. As part of our vision for this year, we want to partner with you, parents, to help incorporate more biblical practices in the daily life of our kids. We want to be intentional in teaching our kids how to take real ownership of their relationship with God and we believe that begins in your home.
Starting this year, KidsPoint is sending out weekly devotions and discussion questions for you and your kids. These devotions will be short but they will coincide with what your child is currently learning in KidsPoint. We encourage you to take some time throughout the week to sit down with your kids and discuss what God is teaching them and how they can apply it to their everyday life. This could be at the dinner table, in the car on the way to a sports game/practice, or even before bed. Our hope is that these devotions will assist you in helping foster your child’s relationship with God every day, as well as challenge them to dig deeper into their faith and in God’s word.
We look forward to all God has in store for you and your kids as well as our entire church family!
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Sincerely,
The KidsPoint Team
