KidsPoint Devotional: (April Week 2)
BLOOM (Birth-Kindergarten)
This month in Bloom, we are learning what it means to be rooted in God and build a firm foundation in Christ. This month’s memory verse is, “Have your roots in Him. Grow strong in what you believe, just as you were taught.” Colossians 3:7a
This past Sunday (April 12th), we learned about the wise and the foolish man. The wise man built his house on the rocks, and the foolish man built his house on the sand. When a big storm came, the house built on the sand was washed away. We discussed that being rooted in Christ is to be the wise man and build our life on Jesus.
We encourage you to read Matthew 7:24-29 with your kids and discuss the following questions.
We encourage you to pray with your child after devotion.
UPSTREET/ROUTE45(1st-5th Grade)
This month in Upstreet, we are learning what it means to be rooted in God and build a firm foundation in Christ. This month’s memory verse is, “Have your roots in Him. Grow strong in what you believe, just as you were taught.” Colossians 3:7a

When a big storm came, the house built on the sand was washed away. We discussed that being rooted in Christ is to be the wise man and build our life on Jesus. If we build our lives on Jesus, the rock, when storms of life come, we will be strong in our faith, and we won’t fall.
We encourage you to read Matthew 7:24-29 with your kids and discuss the following questions.

A note from the KidsPoint team.
Hello Parents!
We are so excited for all that God has in store for us this year, not only in KidsPoint but as a whole at BridgePoint. We believe that our kids are vital to the mission of our church, as well as the future of our communities. As part of our vision for this year, we want to partner with you, parents, to help incorporate more biblical practices in the daily life of our kids. We want to be intentional in teaching our kids how to take real ownership of their relationship with God and we believe that begins in your home.
Starting this year, KidsPoint is sending out weekly devotions and discussion questions for you and your kids. These devotions will be short but they will coincide with what your child is currently learning in KidsPoint. We encourage you to take some time throughout the week to sit down with your kids and discuss what God is teaching them and how they can apply it to their everyday life. This could be at the dinner table, in the car on the way to a sports game/practice, or even before bed. Our hope is that these devotions will assist you in helping foster your child’s relationship with God every day, as well as challenge them to dig deeper into their faith and in God’s word.
We look forward to all God has in store for you and your kids as well as our entire church family!
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Sincerely,
The KidsPoint Team
