KidsPoint Devotional: (December Week 1)
BLOOM (Birth-Kindergarten)
This month in Bloom, we are talking about Advent! Advent is a time where we slow down and realign our hearts with God as we prepare to celebrate the birth of the Messiah. Our memory verse for this month is “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given” Isaiah 9:6
This past Sunday (December 7th), we read about the wonderful hope that we have because of Jesus! We learned that for hundreds of years, the people of God were waiting for the promise of a Savior to be fulfilled. When Jesus finally arrived, He brought a new hope to the world that we get to share with others.
We encourage you to read Luke 1:26-38 with your kids and discuss the following questions.
We encourage you to pray with your child after devotion.

A note from the KidsPoint team.
Hello Parents!
We are so excited for all that God has in store for us this year, not only in KidsPoint but as a whole at BridgePoint. We believe that our kids are vital to the mission of our church, as well as the future of our communities. As part of our vision for this year, we want to partner with you, parents, to help incorporate more biblical practices in the daily life of our kids. We want to be intentional in teaching our kids how to take real ownership of their relationship with God and we believe that begins in your home.
Starting this year, KidsPoint is sending out weekly devotions and discussion questions for you and your kids. These devotions will be short but they will coincide with what your child is currently learning in KidsPoint. We encourage you to take some time throughout the week to sit down with your kids and discuss what God is teaching them and how they can apply it to their everyday life. This could be at the dinner table, in the car on the way to a sports game/practice, or even before bed. Our hope is that these devotions will assist you in helping foster your child’s relationship with God every day, as well as challenge them to dig deeper into their faith and in God’s word.
We look forward to all God has in store for you and your kids as well as our entire church family!
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Sincerely,
The KidsPoint Team
