BABY
DEDICATION
A Special Moment for Your Family
Baby Dedication is a beautiful opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their child in faith while inviting the church family to come alongside them in that journey. We believe that raising children to know and follow Jesus is not something parents do alone—it’s a partnership between the family and the church.
Our Baby Dedication is a two-part experience designed to equip and celebrate families:

Step 2: Baby Dedication Service
📍 During Sunday Service at Your Campus
🗓 Sunday, May 11 2025 (Mother’s Day)
The Baby Dedication is a special moment during the service where parents stand before the church with their child, committing to raise them in a Christ-centered home. It’s also a moment for the church family to affirm their role in supporting, encouraging, and praying for each family. This is not just a parental commitment—it’s a shared responsibility as a church to help the next generation grow in faith.

What Baby Dedication Is (and Isn’t)
We know that different churches practice this in different ways, so here’s a little clarity on what Baby Dedication means at BridgePoint:
✔ A Parent’s Commitment: Baby Dedication is a public declaration of a parent’s desire to raise their child in the faith, seeking God’s wisdom and grace in parenting.
✔ A Church’s Commitment: It’s also a moment where the church family commits to supporting and encouraging parents in this journey.
✔ A Celebration of Life: This is a joyful occasion, recognizing that children are a gift from God and that He has a purpose for each one of them.
❌ Not Infant Baptism: We believe that baptism is a step of obedience for those who have made a personal decision to follow Jesus. Since infants cannot yet make that choice, we do not baptize babies. Instead, we dedicate them to the Lord and pray for the day they will choose to follow Him.
